food

( Fruits of the Earth by Frida Kahlo)

"..If you want to make someone cry, you give them an onion to chop. But if you want them to feel sad, you cook them the dish their mother used to cook for them when they were small..." (Antonny Capella ,The Food of Love)

Last night I made chicken with tomato sauce and vegetables (casserole)….

Was your chicken casserole from childhood or have onions?

Either way, it sounds delightful.

Nice post.

My mum was the worst cook in the world. Ironically, she now works for a catering company.

I am grateful to her for being truly and utterly awful though, because it had two knock on effects - 1) made me learn to cook from a very early age and 2) makes me such a foodie I will literally try anything that won't kill me.
